Those who missed the opening night of Minnesota Opera’s “Nabucco” have good reason—and a little time—to make good on the loss.
Reviewers for the Star-Tribune and Pioneer Press glowed about the company’s season-opening production. In the Star-Tribune, Larry Fuchsberg wrote “on opening night the laurels went to Brenda Harris, long a local favorite. She not only conquered the cruelly difficult, soprano-eating role of Abigaille but made the character more than a shrill monster.” In the Pioneer Press, Rob Hubbard called “Nabucco” a “colorful and superbly sung production.”
Remaining performances of Verdi’s are tonight, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. See MNuet’s calendar for details.
