The Musicians of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra are rallying and performing at noon today, Oct. 16, in St. Paul’s Rice Park. Their “Don’t Stop the Music” rally is aimed at keeping the season’s scheduled SPCO concerts from being cancelled. The Musicians are hoping to continue negotiations in “play and talk” mode, including their offer Monday to management to reduce their pay during these negotiations, but management has said this is unsustainable. The contract between the musicians and orchestra expired on Sept. 30.
